How to comment

We would love you to leave a comment about any of our posts. There are two hurdles to take, but once you have done it, everything will be very simple.

The main challenge is that this blog is run in German! So here is your crash course in navigating through the registration process. “Registration - what’s that”? Read on, dear blog user…

To comment you need to be registered with us. This is just to avoid lots of unwanted spam. We think if someone has an opinion they should own up to who they are.
To do that you scroll down until you see the segment “Meta” in the right hand column. There you click on “Registrieren”. Choose a user name (”Benutzername”) - ideally your real name so we know who you are, but you can be creative, too. The second thing we need is your e-mail address. Then click the button “Registrieren”. Now you are set.

Next time you want to comment on a blog post, click on the “Kommentare” link at the bottom right corner of the entry. It will show you all the comments so far. Scroll down to the bottom and you will find a heading “Antwort schreiben” (Write an answer) with a yellow link “angemeldet sein”. Click on this link and give your details to log in. Now scroll down again and you will see a white comment field. The rest is easy!

NB You can also log in by clicking on “Anmelden” in the “Meta” section mentioned above. Then you will get the white comment field as soon as you click on “Kommentare” in any blog post…

Für Deutschsprachige ist das Ganze viel einfacher. Trotzdem müsst ihr euch registrieren, weil wir gerne mit offenen Karten spielen. Also: Unter der “Meta” Abteilung unten rechts auf “Registrieren” klicken, Benutzernamen und E-Post Adresse angeben. In Zukunft könnt ihr dann auf “Kommentare” klicken und ganz am Ende der Kommentare auf “angemeldet sein” klicken. Log-in Daten eingeben, und - hey presto! - ein weißes Kommentarfeld erscheint am Ende des Eintrags…
